A 4WD adventure to beautiful Moreton Island - a true wilderness destination. Discover this paradise just a short sea ferry journey across Moreton Bay from Brisbane. Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the World - 98% of which is national park. With no sealed roads on the Island, our 4WDs are essential in getting you to the best locations. Tour includes:
 
  • Sea ferry across Moreton Island. All transport, ferry charges, National Park fees are included. Lunch provided.
  • Eco-tour to Honeymoon Bay, Champagne Pool, North Point, Cape Moreton Lighthouse. Plenty of time for swimming and soaking up the sun as you look across the Bay to Brisbane and the Glass House mountains. Body boards etc. available.
  • The exhileration of racing down the slopes of some of the World's steepest sand hills as you try sand tobogganing and sand boarding. Being Moreton's original sand boarding company we use only professional equipment. Safety is our primary concern when speeds up to 65kph can be reached!
  • Visit Blue Lagoon nestled behind the sand dunes of Eastern Beach
  • Depending on tides and weather conditions - your tour will also include some or all of the following: view the Tangalooma Wrecks, cross the Island through a magnificent eucalypt forest, visit the fishing village of Kooringal, visit WW2 and aboriginal sites on Eastern Beach, and cross to Moreton via Stradbroke Island visiting some of its sights on the way. All tours have the same Island touring time - approximately 5-6 hours.
 
 

This is an active tour that is best suited for those 18-35 years or those looking for an exciting day out and a bit of adventure!

Departure time: Departs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday as per time table

 

Pickup/departure instructions:
7.15 am Departs Roma Street bus zone opposite the Carlton Crest Hotel. Wait under the Turbot Street road overpass. Pickups available from some CBD points / hotels - check availability. 7.30am pickup from Fortitude Valley - outside the Bunk Hostel, Gipp Street.
